The Story of Our Collaboration:
Our connection with “Elevate Events” sparked in February 2025 when their creative director, Nadia Al-Mansoori, stumbled across our leather placemats on Pinterest. She was designing table setups for a series of spring events—think desert banquets and rooftop receptions—and needed placemats that screamed luxury while holding up to the region’s heat and frequent use. Nadia dropped us a LinkedIn message, asking about our PVC and leather offerings and whether we could handle a tight timeline.
We hopped on a WhatsApp call on February 10, 2025. Nadia painted a picture of their needs: placemats that could take the heat of serving trays (up to 95°C), resist scuffs from cutlery, and dazzle under chandelier light. She gravitated toward our glossy PVC placemats for their reflective finish and our leather ones for their rich depth. On February 12, we sent a sample box via Aramex—five PVC placemats in glossy black with silver rims and five leather placemats in deep burgundy—along with a tech sheet on PVC’s heat tolerance and leather’s oil-tanned durability.
Nadia’s team tested them at a mock setup in their Dubai studio. Over 10 days, they piled on hot platters, dragged silverware across surfaces, and cleaned with microfiber cloths. On February 23, she texted us photos and feedback: the PVC mats’ glossy shine turned heads, but she wanted a silver rim instead of plain black for extra flair. The leather mats felt “like butter” and resisted marks, though she asked for a pebbled texture to hide minor scratches. We tweaked the PVC mold to add a 1 cm silver-foiled rim and switched to a pebbled embossing plate for the leather, shipping revised samples on March 1. The order hit our desk on March 10: 22,800 PVC placemats and 22,200 leather placemats, due by mid-April 2025 for their peak season. Production roared to life on March 15.
