“Green Haven Interiors” is a rapidly growing sustainable home goods retailer headquartered in Toronto, Canada, with one online store and five physical stores in Ontario. The company was founded in 2019 and focuses on providing environmentally friendly and ethical products to environmentally conscious consumers, ranging from furniture to dining accessories. Their brand emphasizes natural materials and modern practical design.
In November 2024, we received an inquiry from Priya Patel, the procurement manager of “Green Haven Interiors”, which was recommended through a co contact person at the Canadian Sustainable Development Expo. Priya is updating their dining collection for the spring 2025 launch event and seeking placemats that align with their green spirit – biodegradable, stylish, and suitable for daily use. She browsed our website and chose our plant-based eco-friendly placemat (a dry hay placemat made of water hyacinth material) as their new spring product.
Priya’s team conducted a two-week test on the samples and placed them in stores in downtown Toronto for employees and selected customers to try out. On November 28th, she sent us an email stating that the water hyacinth placemat is popular due to its lightweight feel and earthy color, but it may become thinner during use due to its load-bearing capacity. He asked if we could increase the thickness of the water hyacinth placemat to avoid this issue.
The order was confirmed on December 15th: 12800 water hyacinth placemats. Their goal is to deliver by mid February 2025, in preparation for the new spring products. The production of water hyacinth eco-friendly placemats began on December 18th. Thanks to our efficient weaving machinery, 12800 water hyacinth placemats were quickly produced.
We completed production before January 25, 2025 and shared the latest progress with Priya, informing them that all meal mat orders have been produced. The batch of water hyacinth placemats was shipped by sea from our Ningbo port to Halifax, Canada on January 28th. After a smooth customs clearance process, they arrived on February 10th. We provided detailed material details and export licenses. Priya’s warehouse team in Toronto unpacked the goods on February 12th and conducted quality audits on 200 units. The quality audit results have satisfied Priya.
These placemats will be available on the “Green Harbor Interior Design” online store in late February 2025. Priya reported that these plant-based mats sold out online within three weeks, and customers praised their soft texture and environmental certification on social media. These water hyacinth placemats have gained popularity among customers due to their environmentally friendly materials and excellent anti scalding performance. Priya showcased our products in their spring product brochure and praised us as their excellent supplier.
“Green Haven Interiors” invited us to promote their 2025 autumn collection and suggested collaborating on the development of seasonal plant-based placemats with autumn tones. This partnership has also caught the attention of a Canadian ecological blog, which recommended our water hyacinth placemats in detail in their blog, attracting more North American buyers to visit our website.
